Cement prices decline

Cement prices are down by Rs 2-4 per 50 kg bag in western India. Manufacturers have cut down prices due to low pick up in sales during monsoons. UltraTech, Ambuja Cements, ACC, JK Lakshmi Cement, Binani Cement and India Cement and many others have implemented the price cut.

Earlier this month, most cement makers had raised prices by around Rs 10 per 50 kg bag in Mumbai, Pune and other western region markets. With the current price reduction, the wholesale price in Mumbai is around Rs 245 for a 50 kg bag, while that in the project segment, it will be around Rs 225.
