Vasavadatta to get land for cement factory

The Karnataka Cabinet has given permission to two companies to acquire 1,256 acre of agricultural land for establishing a cement factory and a solar power plant in the state. Vasavadatta Cement will acquire 655 acre for setting up the cement factory. The land parcels will be acquired at market rates under section 109 of the Land Reforms Act. The solar power plant is a project of Varda Solar of the Adani Group.
