UltraTech Expands Cement Capacity in MP, WB, and Maharashtra

UltraTech Cement, an Aditya Birla Group company, has expanded its production capacity with the commissioning of two new cement mills at its Maihar plant in Madhya Pradesh. The first mill, with a capacity of 3.35 million tonnes per annum (mtpa), is now operational, while the second 2.7 mtpa grinding mill is set to be commissioned in the June quarter. 

Additionally, UltraTech has completed the brownfield expansion of its 1.2 mtpa grinding unit in Dhule, Maharashtra, and commissioned a 0.60 mtpa brownfield expansion at its Durgapur unit in West Bengal. 

Further strengthening its distribution network, the company has inaugurated its first bulk terminal in Uttar Pradesh, located in Lucknow, with a capacity of 1.8 mtpa. 

With these latest additions, UltraTech's total domestic grey cement manufacturing capacity has risen to 183.36 mtpa, while its global capacity, including 5.4 mtpa from overseas operations, now stands at 188.76 mtpa.
