MCL Signed MoUs to provide financial aid to Kandhamal Odisha

Two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed by Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) to support government efforts to improve the healthcare and educational climate in Kandhamal, a remote district in Odisha.

According to the MoU signed by the Collector of Kandhamal and the GM (CSR), Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, MCL would provide $96.1 million to the district.

The MoU includes 10.7 million for solar water supply and lighting installations at 47 Anganwadi centres and 85.4 million for project "Arogyam," which aims to improve healthcare facilities.
