A natural gas pipeline connecting Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd’s (HPCL) 5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) LNG regasification terminal at Chhara, Gujarat, to the national gas grid has been commissioned.

Developed by Gujarat State Petronet Limited (GSPL) at a cost of Rs 6.5 billion, the 18 million standard cubic meters per day (MMSCMD) pipeline was commissioned on March 20. The route passes near the eco-sensitive zone of Gir National Park & Wildlife Sanctuary.
