Welspun Corp Associate Wins Rs. 20 bn Aramco Pipe Contract

Welspun Corp said its associate company, East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry, has signed a contract with Saudi Arabian Oil Co., commonly known as Aramco, for the manufacture and supply of steel pipes. The contract value exceeds 771 mn Saudi riyals, including value added tax, equivalent to approximately Rs. 20 bn.

East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry, or EPIC, is a listed company in Saudi Arabia and announced the contract to the Saudi Stock Exchange on 20 September 2026. Welspun Corp disclosed the development to the BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India as a general announcement.

The contract has a duration of six months. Its financial impact is expected to be reflected from Q4 of FY2026-27 through Q1 of FY2027-28, according to the company’s filing. The announcement did not provide a detailed schedule of deliveries or a breakdown of the contract’s expected contribution to revenue and profit.

EPIC manufactures Helical Submerged Arc Welded, or HSAW, pipes and is described by Welspun Corp as one of Saudi Arabia’s leading manufacturers in this segment. Its facilities are fully integrated and support the production and supply of large steel pipe orders for customers in the Kingdom.

Welspun Corp said EPIC has a track record of executing large orders within scheduled timelines and according to required quality standards. The company also said its associate’s capabilities and customer-focused approach have supported its position as a preferred supplier in the Saudi market.

The contract supports Saudi Arabia’s strategic infrastructure and industrial objectives under its Vision 2030 programme. Welspun Corp did not disclose whether the order would require additional capital expenditure or changes to EPIC’s existing production capacity.
