L&T secures ‘significant’ orders in overseas, domestic market

Infrastructure company Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced that its construction unit got orders in the domestic market and overseas.

The firm did not provide the cost of the contracts but informed that the orders fall under the significant level, which varies between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore.

L&T Construction got a large number of orders in India and overseas for its several businesses. The construction company said its distribution business and power transmission got an order to develop a 220 kV transmission line connected with system strengthening in the Ladakh area.

The firm told the media that it also received an order for urban power distribution in Ayodhya city under the Moreover, in Dubai, an order to construct, design, supply, install, test, and commission a 132/11kV substation with linked cable operations has been received.

L&T said its factories and buildings also got a prestigious order from a prime cement manufacturer in India to develop a 1.8 million metric tonnes per annum (mmtpa) grinding unit in Dolvi, Maharashtra.

Further, the company informed that in Africa, it received two transmission line packages. In Thailand, it secured a package including supply and installation of a new gas-insulated substation and associated substation extensions.
