Bajaj Hindusthan plans power projects in UP

Bajaj Hindusthan has committed investments to the tune of Rs 22,500 crore in power projects to come up in Uttar Pradesh over the next four to five years.

The company entered into an MoU with the UP government to set up a 1,980 MW thermal power plant in the Chitrakoot district. The project would entail an investment of Rs 10,000 crore and power production is expected to commence in 2015. The company has committed to give 100 per cent of the power generated from the plant to the state government.
