Adani Energy Expands Transmission Pipeline

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has reported robust growth in Q4 and FY25, driven by its focus on transmission expansion, smart metering, and clean energy integration. The company’s transmission order book grew 3.5 times to Rs. 599.36 bn, supported by increased sectoral bidding and the addition of key projects, including Navinal (Mundra) Phase I Part-B and Mahan Transmission.

Its distribution arm, Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd (AEML), delivered over ninety-nine point nine per cent supply reliability, catering to 3.18 million consumers. Total energy sold rose by eight per cent year-on-year, led by residential and commercial demand. AEML also reported: 4.31 per cent distribution losses, among the lowest in India, 83.2 per cent e-payment adoption, and 36 per cent renewable energy share in its power mix as of March 2025.

Adani's smart metering operations reached 3.1 Mn installations by Q4FY25. The company plans to install an additional six to seven Mn metres in FY26, targeting a total of nearly 10 Mn. The broader smart metering market remains largely untapped, with a potential of 97 Mn m. Adani also signed an MoU with MAHAPREIT to implement urban cooling solutions in Mumbai, aligned with India’s net-zero goals.
