Adani to build 3 giga factories in India

Gautam Adani, Asia's richest man, announced that his ports-to-power company will construct three Giga factories to produce solar panels, wind turbines, and hydrogen electrolyzers as part of a USD 70 billion investment in sustainable energy by 2030.

Adani Group is increasing its investments across the green energy value chain in order to become the world's leading producer of renewable energy by 2030.

These giga factories will produce everything from polysilicon to solar modules, as well as wind turbines and hydrogen electrolyzers.

This would add 45 GW of renewable energy capacity to Adani Group's current 20 GW capacity, as well as 3 million tonnes of hydrogen by 2030.

The announcement comes weeks after rival billionaire Mukesh Ambani announced a fifth Giga factory as part of an investment in low carbon energy.
