Anandpur Sahib Foundation floats tender for 1 MW rooftop solar plant

The Anandpur Sahib Foundation has floated tenders for the design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, and launching of a 1 MW rooftop solar plant utilising mono passivated emitter and rear cell (PERC) modules with back-contact technology at Virasat-e-Khalsa in Anandpur Sahib, Punjab.

The successful bidder will additionally have to take care of the work and maintenance activities of the plant for five years.

The project should be attained within six months from the date of the letter of award.

The deadline to present the proposals online is December 1, 2021. Tenders will be opened on the same day.

The modules to be utilised in the project should be certified by the International Electrotechnical Commission or the Bureau of Indian Standards.

Bidders will have to present Rs 808,000 as an earnest money deposit. The successful bidder will have to provide 5% of the contract value as the performance security deposit within 21 days of getting the acceptance letter.

For works up to Rs 100 million, the bidder should have a valid enlistment with the Punjab Public Works Department.

For works over Rs 100 million, the bidder’s average yearly turnover should be 40% of the estimated work cost in any of the past three financial years preceding the financial year in which the proposals have been invited.

The bidder should have achieved one similar work of value not less than Rs 32.3 million, or two equivalent works of value not less than Rs 20.02 million, or three works of value not less than Rs 16.2 million in the past seven years.

The bidder should present an undertaking to fund minimum cash of 25% of the contract price during the execution of the work.

In September 2021, the Punjab Energy Development Agency floated tenders to build 5 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems under the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model on government buildings in numerous areas in the state.
