CESL invites bids for 60 MW solar PV modules in Maharashtra

Energy Efficiency Services Limited's (EESL), wholly-owned subsidiary Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), has invited bids to acquire 60 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules (330 Wp and above) in Maharashtra.

The last date to submit the bid is August 13, 2021, and the opening of the bids would be the same day. Each bidder must pay Rs 25,000 regarding the bidding document cost.

The successful bidder would also have to provide a 25 years performance warranty from the date of delivering solar PV modules at the site anyplace in Maharashtra.

CESL would set up decentralized solar PV projects under the Maharashtra Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY), with capacities varying between 300 kW to 10 MW on empty land available with the Maharashtra government, Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company (MSETCL), Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL), or gram panchayats.

CESL would give solar PV modules to system integrators to establish solar PV projects and provide service and maintenance assistance for 25 years.

The winning bidder would accommodate the construction, design, testing, and supply of crystalline solar PV modules of 330 Wp or more than that.

Before moving towards the manufacturing stage with the solar PV modules general arrangement (GA) drawings, the successful bidder needs to provide dimensions or pictures. Consortiums are not permitted to compete in the bidding process. The bidder needs to be a company registered under the Indian Companies Act 1956/2013.

The bidder needs to have the latest ISO 9001 certification from a globally acknowledged certification authority.

The yearly average turnover of the bidder must be nearly Rs 370 million in the previous three FY, which is 2018-19, 2019-20, and 2020-21. The bidder should be successful in the previous FY 2020-21.

In the last FY, the net worth should not be lower than 100% of the paid-up share capital.
