CREST invites bids for 2 MW floating solar projects in Chandigarh

Chandigarh Renewable Energy and Society (CREST) issues an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) tender for the installation of 2 MW grid-connected floating solar projects in Chandigarh with high power evacuation systems.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs 120 million.The last date for bid submission is February 26, 2022.The technical bids will commence on February 28 and the pre-bid meeting will be held on February 18.

Bidders need to furnish an earnest money deposit worth Rs 2.4 million.The successful bidder is required to submit 3% of the contract value for the performance bank guarantee within 15 days from the issuance date of the work order.

The scope of work comprises manufacturing, erection, design, supply, testing, and the commissioning of two one MW grid-connected floating solar projects.They will be located in sector 39 Chandigarh’s Water Works, tank number seven and eight. After the projects are commissioned, the successful bidder needs to provide a comprehensive operation and maintenance service for a period of ten years.

In order to participate in the bidding process, the bidders need to have one similar project completed at a cost not lower than 80% of the estimated cost of the project in the past seven years.

The bidders must have also commissioned two similar projects of not less than 50% of the estimated cost of the project or three similar projects of not less than 40% of the estimated cost of the project. Other requirements can be checked on their website.
