Crompton wins Rs 4.45 billion solar rooftop order in Andhra Pradesh

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd., a trusted leader in home and energy solutions, has achieved a major milestone in its renewable energy journey by securing a significant solar rooftop order in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The contract will cover and solarise over 40,000 households with 2 KW on-grid rooftop systems, amounting to a total value of Rs 4.45 billion.

This large 77 MW order, valued at Rs 4.45 billion, represents Crompton’s largest-ever solar rooftop project, highlighting the company’s strong execution capability and rapid progress—just two months after its entry into the solar rooftop segment. The win follows a Rs 520 million order earlier this month, further underscoring Crompton’s accelerating growth and market traction in the solar space.

Expanding Presence in a High-Growth Sector

India’s solar rooftop market, valued between Rs 200–250 billion, is expected to grow at over 20 per cent annually. Increasing residential adoption is being driven by falling system costs, better grid integration, greater awareness, and technology affordability. This strong momentum presents Crompton with a compelling opportunity to scale sustainable home energy solutions across the country.

The project aims to equip households with reliable, sustainable, and low-maintenance solar solutions, backed by Crompton’s trained personnel and responsive service network. The company’s end-to-end project management ensures consistent quality and performance across thousands of homes, strengthening its position as a trusted energy-efficient brand.
