Enlight Metals Adds GI Earthing Strips to Infra Portfolio

Enlight Metals has expanded its infrastructure materials portfolio with the introduction of GI Earthing Strips, targeting growing demand across India’s power, renewable energy, industrial, transmission and data centre sectors.

The new range covers dimensions from 20 x 3 mm to 100 x 16 mm and is manufactured using the company’s steel processing, precision slitting and cutting, galvanisation and bulk production capabilities. The products are intended for applications across power plants, electrical substations, transmission networks, industrial facilities, oil and gas and petrochemical plants, data centres and solar projects.

The launch comes amid continued expansion of India’s energy infrastructure. The country had 288.58 GW of installed renewable energy capacity as of 30 June 2026, including 162.15 GW of solar capacity. Transmission infrastructure is also being planned to integrate more than 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.

Vedant Goel, Director, Enlight Metals, said reliable grounding systems are fundamental to electrical safety and the long-term performance of infrastructure assets.

The company is adopting a B2B, project-led strategy for the product category, targeting EPC companies, electrical contractors, infrastructure developers, industrial enterprises and institutional procurement teams. It plans to focus on product consistency, corrosion resistance, dimensional accuracy, quality and supply reliability.

Enlight Metals views GI Earthing Strips as part of its broader transition from a traditional metals business towards an infrastructure materials company. The company plans to strengthen manufacturing capabilities, build project relationships and generate repeat demand from B2B customers.
