Karnataka discom invites bids for 15 MW solar plant

The Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Limited (CESC), which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Karnataka government, invited bids for the selection of vendors willing to set up rooftop solar plants of 15 MW for residential purposes in Mysore city.

Bids will be accepted till 4:15 PM on January 29, 2022. While the techno-commercial bids will be open from 4:00 PM February 3, 2022.

Some of the other key schedule dates include: 4:00 PM, January 19, 2022- Availability of Bid documents on e-procurement portal; 4:00 PM, January 24, 2022, query submission; and the pre-bid meeting will be till 3:00 PM on January 25, 2022.

Bids invited for surveying the site, designing, installation, supply, establishment, tests, and commissioning of the Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar Plant project with a warrant as well as comprehensive operation and maintenance for 5 years. The project will be for residential purposes and the capacity will vary up to 15 MW under Grid Connected Rooftop Solar Scheme- MNRE- Phase-II within CESC Mysuru jurisdiction.

The bidders need to submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) or the bid bond amount depending on the solar plant capacity proposed by the vendors.

There are several eligibility criteria that the applicant must fulfill for the bid application.

The eligibility criteria are divided into four parts; Part A, Part B, Part C, and Part D. There are several technical specifications in the tender document. The tender documents can be viewed or downloaded including Notice Inviting Tender, Invitation, Scope, Documents, Contract Terms and Conditions, Erection Conditions, Annexures, Specifications, and more on the company's portal.
