Karnataka Secures Second Place in Wind Power Generation

India has been placed 63rd on the Global Energy Transition Index, as per the latest report by the World Economic Forum (WEF). The index assesses the progress of countries towards sustainable energy systems based on various indicators such as energy security, environmental sustainability, and affordability. Sweden has emerged as the leader, recognized for its robust efforts in transitioning towards cleaner energy sources.

The ranking highlights India's ongoing efforts and challenges in its energy transition journey. Despite initiatives like the expansion of renewable energy capacity and policy reforms aimed at reducing carbon emissions, the country faces significant hurdles in achieving a sustainable energy ecosystem.
