Kshema Power Wins Rs 1.08 Billion Wind Line Project

Chennai-based engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm Kshema Power, specialising in renewable energy infrastructure, has secured a Rs 1.08 billion contract to construct a 400 kV transmission line in Andhra Pradesh.
The project involves building a 42-kilometre line in Ananthapuram district to transmit electricity from a 1 GW wind farm. Kshema Power will install a single-circuit line on double-circuit towers to ensure efficient and reliable power transfer.
Other firms expanding wind energy in the state include Tata Power, which signed an agreement with Suzlon Energy to supply 700 MW of wind turbines as part of a Rs 60 billion project. This MoU, signed in March 2025 with the Andhra Pradesh government, aims to develop up to 7,000 MW of renewable energy capacity in the state.
The transmission line project supports Andhra Pradesh’s policy goals of increasing wind power capacity and aligns with the Central Government’s target of achieving 140 GW of wind energy by 2030, promoting both new projects and repowering existing ones.
“This achievement paves the way for significant growth at Kshema Power and will create new employment opportunities, benefiting both industry and society. We look forward to delivering this project with excellence and building on future opportunities,” said Sateesh Basant, Managing Director of Kshema Power.
