MNRE Revises ALMM List I and Adds New Solar Manufacturers

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued a revision to the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) for solar photovoltaic modules through an office memorandum dated six July 2026. The update is Revision XLIX and revises ALMM List-I under the ALMM Order, 2019. It introduces new manufacturers, additional module models and corrections to company details. The ministry reaffirmed that only modules meeting the required Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification and minimum efficiency criteria will remain eligible.

Administrative changes include correction of the ALMM validity period for Pixon Green Energy Private Limited, removal of the 100 megawatt (MW) co-ALMM arrangement between ECE (India) Energies Pvt. Ltd. and Ganesh Green Bharat Ltd., and an update to the registered name and address of RPSG Solvanta Private Limited. These changes take effect immediately as part of Revision XLIX. The ministry clarified that any revision in manufacturing capacity will replace earlier figures. Manufacturers must maintain valid BIS registration to continue enlistment.

MNRE has added several manufacturers to the ALMM, including Cosmic PV Power Limited, NRG SOL Power Private Limited, Solarium Green Energy Limited and Havells India Limited, alongside Icon Solar En Power Technologies Private Limited, SSSV Textile Industries, ISH Solar Private Limited and Powersphere Renewable Private Limited. The newly approved companies are enlisted for manufacturing high-efficiency bifacial N-Type TOPCon and mono PERC solar photovoltaic modules with various capacities and power ratings. Most approvals are valid from six July 2026 to five July 2030, subject to valid BIS certification. The update expands approved models and manufacturing capacities for existing companies.

The ministry emphasised that the ALMM remains a dynamic regulatory instrument to ensure quality and efficiency across the domestic module supply chain and support policy objectives. Industry participants will need to verify BIS certification and updated capacity figures when bidding or planning projects. The revision aims to streamline administrative records while sustaining technical standards for module performance. Stakeholders are advised to consult the office memorandum for detailed listings and compliance requirements.
