MRF Invests Rs 990 Million in Serentica Renewables for Clean Energy

Tyre manufacturer MRF Ltd has invested Rs 990 million in Serentica Renewables India to secure 50 MW of hybrid renewable power for its manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu.

The investment reflects MRF’s commitment to increasing renewable energy use across its operations. Serentica Renewables will supply the power through a mix of solar and wind sources from its projects in Karnataka, ensuring consistent green energy delivery to MRF’s Tamil Nadu units.

This partnership supports the company’s decarbonization roadmap and aligns with India’s broader clean energy transition goals.

Serentica Renewables, backed by KKR, is focused on developing large-scale renewable energy projects catering to commercial and industrial consumers. The company aims to contribute to India’s ambition of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030.
