PGCIL Wins RECPDCL Bid For 4,500 MW Inter-State Transmission

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, announced that Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has been selected as the successful bidder to develop an inter?state transmission system with capacity to evacuate 4,500 megawatt (MW) of renewable energy. The award was made through a tariff?based competitive bidding process and followed an electronic reverse auction in which PGCIL offered the lowest levelised annual transmission tariff. The project was procured to support evacuation from key renewable generation hubs.

As the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) PGCIL will execute the project on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis and will be responsible for developing high?voltage transmission lines, establishing substations and installing associated transmission infrastructure required for reliable long?distance power transfer. The scope envisages integration of large?scale solar and wind projects and will strengthen the national grid by addressing congestion and facilitating cross?regional energy flows.

RECPDCL acted as the Bid Process Coordinator to ensure a transparent and competitive selection under the Tariff?Based Competitive Bidding route. The award reflects continued policy emphasis on expanding transmission capacity to keep pace with rapid additions of renewable generation across the country. The procurement is intended to enable efficient evacuation and reduce bottlenecks that can impede project commissioning.

Once commissioned the transmission system is expected to improve grid reliability, reduce transmission constraints and enable more efficient delivery of clean electricity across multiple states, thereby supporting India’s target of achieving 500 gigawatt (GW) of non?fossil fuel capacity by 2030. The project is intended to contribute to integration of renewable power at scale and to bolster long?term network resilience while facilitating state and regional dispatch arrangements.

A Concrete Statement in Jubilee Hills

The Jubilee Hills residence is an exploration of structure as architecture, where mathematical precision, exposed concrete, and engineering discipline come together to create a bold and enduring built form.Constructed with Blushfarbe, HAACE’s bespoke concrete finish, the project demanded exceptional control, as every visible structural element was also required to perform as the final architectural surface. Deep reinforced concrete roof frames extend into the vertical façade, while precision-cast fluted surfaces, rhythmic vertical fins, circular columns, and a cantilevered staircase create ..
