Power Minister Reviews RE Efforts at NHPC's Nimoo Bazgo Power Station

Union Power Minister Manohar Lal visited the 45 MW NHPC Nimoo Bazgo Power Station in Leh district, Ladakh, to assess the facility’s operations and review its contribution to renewable energy initiatives in the region. Accompanied by NHPC CMD R.K. Chaudhary, the minister praised the power station’s role in ensuring a reliable energy supply to Ladakh, utilizing the Indus River for clean energy generation.

During the visit, officials highlighted the station’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects aimed at benefiting the local community. The Union Minister commended the NHPC team for their dedication in maintaining and operating the facility in challenging conditions and encouraged further efforts to explore new green energy opportunities in the region.

The Nimoo Bazgo Power Station is central to Ladakh's energy strategy, supporting the transition to renewable energy and providing stable power in difficult geographical conditions.
