Reliance Infra Wins Rs 5.26 Bn Arbitration Against Aravali Power

Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) has secured an arbitration award worth Rs 5.26 billion against Aravali Power Company, following a dispute over the wrongful termination of a contract in 2018.

The company had invoked arbitration against Aravali Power, alleging unlawful termination. After reviewing the case, a three-member arbitral tribunal ruled in favour of Reliance Infra, declaring the termination illegal, invalid, and wrongful.

The tribunal has partly allowed RInfra’s claims for damages and costs incurred due to the contract’s termination, awarding a total of Rs 5.26 billion.
