RUMSL floats tender for 600 MW floating solar park in Madhya Pradesh

The Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) has floated tenders for developing a 600 MW of floating solar park at Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh.

RUMSL is a joint venture (JV) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and the Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam.

The tender for 600 MW capacity floating solar project will have six units of 100 MW each of floating solar photovoltaic grid-connected power projects developed at Omkareshwar reservoir.

The deadline to submit the bids is 31 January 2022, and the bids will be opened on 1 February.

The bidders will have to deposit Rs 650,000 per MW as an earnest money deposit. RUMSL will provide the evacuating infrastructure for the project. Bidders sharing a land border with India are eligible to participate in the bidding.

For participating in the bidding, the bidder should have experience in installing and commissioning floating solar projects of at least 2.5 MW, with a commissioned capacity of at least 1 MW. The bidder should also be experienced in installing and commissioning ground-mounted solar projects of a minimum 200 MW capacity.

However, the bidder should be experienced in installing and commissioning ground-mounted solar projects with the minimum aggregate capacity equivalent to double the quoted capacity by the bidder.

The experience in ground-mounted solar projects should be cumulative but not in over three completed contracts. A minimum of one such project should have a 50 MW capacity.

The annual turnover of the bidder should be Rs 40 million per MW during the last three years. In the previous fiscal year, the net worth of the bidder should be a minimum of Rs 9 million per MW of the quoted capacity.
