Tata Power's clean energy deal with Chalet Hotels reduces C-emissions

Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL) has entered into a power delivery agreement (PDA) with Chalet Hotels, aimed at supplying 13.75 million units (MU) of environmentally friendly energy. This initiative involves the establishment of a 6-megawatt (MW) solar plant, which is anticipated to result in a reduction of 9,762 tonnes of carbon emissions, as per a statement from Tata Power Renewable Energy.

Ashish Khanna, the CEO of Tata Power Renewable Energy, expressed optimism that this partnership would make clean energy adoption more widespread and contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions in the hospitality sector. With this latest addition to its project capacity, TPREL now boasts a total renewable energy capacity of 7,821 MW, inclusive of 3,689 MW in projects currently under various stages of development. Its operational capacity stands at 4,132 MW, which encompasses 3,139 MW in solar and 993 MW in wind energy.
