Vikram Solar Shares Gain on 124 MW Andhra Pradesh Module Order

Vikram Solar shares rose after the solar module manufacturer secured a 124 MW supply order for a project in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. The contract strengthens the company’s position in India’s utility-scale and large-scale solar market, with supplies scheduled to begin in October 2026.

Under the domestic, one-time contract, Vikram Solar will provide high-efficiency G12R TOPCon modules with rated capacities ranging from 620 Wp to 630 Wp. Capital Energy awarded the order, which the company expects to execute by the end of the third quarter of 2026, according to its exchange filing.

The filing stated that no promoter, promoter group or group company has an interest in Capital Energy. It also confirmed that the contract does not qualify as a related-party transaction. The order is therefore being undertaken on an arm’s-length basis, outside the company’s related-party arrangements.

Vikram Solar shares gained 1.20 per cent during Friday’s session and reached an intraday high of Rs. 167.50. The stock opened at Rs. 166.10 on the BSE, compared with its previous close of Rs. 165.50, and touched a low of Rs. 165.10 during the session.

The company said the contract comes as it expands its manufacturing capabilities. Its module manufacturing capacity has recently increased to 15.5 GW, giving it a larger production base to serve utility-scale projects and support the growth of domestic solar manufacturing in India.

Vikram Solar said its international operations span 39 countries, while its pan-India distribution network includes 119 authorised distributors and more than 750 dealers. The company added that it has been recognised as a PVEL Top Performer nine times and has appeared on Bloomberg NEF’s Tier 1 solar module manufacturer list for nine consecutive quarters.
