The East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) has inaugurated the partially finished Shahdara Jheel project. The work on the lake, including building a sewage treatment boundary and plant, is finished and the levelling of the ground is still being executed. Construction on the amphitheatre, party arena, footpath, swings, plantation, and parking area is still incomplete. Phase-II of the project is still under construction, and the Centre has already received the proposal for the Phase-III to allocate funds.
