Combilift’s 100,000th forklift raises €100,000 for UNICEF

Combilift has marked a major manufacturing milestone by turning its 100,000th forklift into a global fundraising initiative, raising €100,000 for UNICEF to support children affected by conflict and natural disasters.

To celebrate the production landmark, Combilift launched its largest-ever worldwide competition, offering the exclusive 100,000th multidirectional Combi-CBE “Golden Forklift” as the top prize. The campaign generated €56,500 in ticket sales, with the company topping up the amount to reach a total donation of €100,000, all contributed to UNICEF Ireland’s Children’s Emergency Fund.

Speaking at the cheque presentation in Monaghan, Martin McVicar, CEO and Co-Founder of Combilift, said, “This campaign was designed not only to celebrate a major manufacturing achievement for Combilift, but also to make a meaningful difference beyond the factory floor. By supporting UNICEF, we are supporting one of the world’s most effective humanitarian organisations and helping children who need it most.”

The cheque was formally presented to Owen Buckley, Head of Corporate Partnerships at UNICEF Ireland, who said the contribution would help the organisation respond quickly to urgent needs, including access to warm clothing, safe shelter and continued education for vulnerable children.

The winning ticket was purchased by Kareen Farrell, who received the one-of-a-kind Golden Forklift at Combilift’s headquarters. The milestone machine was earlier unveiled at the IMHX Exhibition in the UK and later toured European trade shows, drawing strong international interest and reflecting Combilift’s global footprint and focus on social impact.
