Interkran Orders 18 Raimondi Flat-Top Cranes

Interkran, Raimondi’s long-standing Swiss distributor, has ordered 18 Raimondi flat-top tower cranes as part of its latest fleet expansion programme. The investment is aimed at supporting rising demand across Switzerland’s construction sector.

The order includes seven MRT159 cranes, five MRT189 cranes, one MRT234 crane and five MRT294 cranes. The first ten machines, comprising two MRT294-16t cranes, seven MRT159-8t cranes and one MRT234 crane, have already been delivered and deployed across different jobsites in Switzerland.

Antonio Teixeira, General Manager, Interkran, said the company was reinforcing its ability to support construction projects across the Swiss market by continuing to invest in new Raimondi cranes.

Interkran currently operates a fleet of approximately 250 Raimondi cranes, strengthening its position in the regional tower crane rental market. The company said the selected crane models were chosen for their lifting capacities, operational versatility, load charts and ease of installation.

The first ten cranes have been installed across two jobsites in north-east Switzerland, where they are supporting residential developments. Interkran said efficient assembly, adaptability and optimised lifting performance were important requirements for these projects.

The remaining eight cranes are expected to be delivered in the coming weeks and will be deployed on major infrastructure developments in Switzerland. The delivery will further expand Raimondi’s presence across high-profile Swiss construction projects.

Luigi Maggioni, Group CEO, Raimondi, said the collaboration between Raimondi Cranes and Interkran reflected a shared focus on performance, reliability and long-term growth within the European heavy lifting industry.
