Propel Expands Electric Tipper Range At EXCON 2025

Propel Industries Private Limited, India’s leading crushing and screening equipment maker and a pioneer in electric tipper manufacturing, has expanded its electric mining and construction portfolio at EXCON 2025 with the launch of four new electric tipper models, a next-generation connectivity platform and a comprehensive after-sales uptime solution. The unveiling took place in the presence of Dr Soumya Ranjan Samal, Founder and CMD of Kalinga Commercial Corporation Limited, and J Rudrasekar, Director at Rajiraj Minerals Private Limited.

The latest launches include four electric tippers — 90CED, 70CED, 560HEV-X and 470MEV Gen-2 — alongside Pulse.ev, an all-new connectivity platform, and Pro EV Care, a comprehensive electric vehicle service programme designed to support high-uptime operations.

Commenting on the announcements, V Senthilkumar, Managing Director of Propel Industries Private Limited, said each new platform has been developed to meet the practical demands of heavy-duty mining and construction environments. He noted that the company remains focused on productivity, long-term operating economics, reliability and safety, while strengthening India’s electric heavy-duty ecosystem with technologies that can perform consistently under demanding conditions.

Siddarth Kirtane, President – EV Sales, Marketing and Service, said the launches reinforce Propel’s commitment to innovation, zero-emission mobility and future-ready heavy-duty solutions. Since entering the electric truck segment in 2023, Propel has expanded across coal, overburden, limestone, iron ore, stone quarrying, marble and granite, and solid waste management applications. The company’s electric trucks have collectively logged more than 0.5 million operating hours, while the first batch of eight trucks has recorded around 12,500 hours over two years, equivalent to nearly 20 hours of operation per day, demonstrating strong reliability and uptime.

Among the new products, the 90CED is India’s first ultra-fast charging 90-tonne electric dumper, offering a 34 cubic metre struck volume and battery options ranging from 310 kWh to 650 kWh. It incorporates advanced safety features such as ADAS Level 1 systems, electronic braking, driver fatigue monitoring, fail-safe parking, trunnion jack support, and an advanced human-machine interface, while meeting DGMS safety requirements.

The 70CED is India’s first 8x4 mining tipper with a 25 cubic metre rock body, designed for high-output mining operations with higher payload efficiency. The 560HEV-X is India’s first 8x4 construction tipper with a 25 cubic metre box body, engineered for large-scale construction projects with enhanced stability and fast charging capability. The 470MEV Gen-2, India’s first 6x4 tipper with a 20 cubic metre rock body, features upgraded carrying capacity, three battery pack options and DGMS-compliant safety systems, making it suitable for mainstream mining adoption.

Propel also highlighted its industry-leading battery warranty of five years or 5,000 charge cycles for its electric tippers. The vehicles are equipped with advanced lithium-ion batteries featuring an in-built battery firewall with automatic fire detection and suppression, supported by data-driven battery management systems to ensure high reliability across varied operating conditions.

The newly launched Pulse.ev platform serves as a digital ecosystem developed in-house for electric mining and hauling operations, offering real-time vehicle health monitoring, diagnostics, energy consumption insights, predictive maintenance analytics and fleet optimisation tools for multi-shift usage.

In addition, Pro EV Care introduces a five-tier, modular service programme backed by an uptime assurance framework. The solution is designed to deliver predictable operating costs, lifecycle assurance for EV fleets and customised on-site service support, helping customers maximise productivity, availability and profitability.
