Sany becomes world’s largest excavator seller in 2020

Indian construction equipment and heavy machinery manufacturing firm Sany has gone past major brands like JCB and Caterpillar to become the biggest excavator seller worldwide in 2020.

According to an official release by the firm, Sany sold 98,705 excavators globally in 2020, recording a 15% market share worldwide.

Sany sits at the helm in the Cranes and Piling Rigs segments in India. Sany has extended its product range over the years, from rendering three models of excavators in 2014 to 26 models on offer in India today. The Pune-based firm gives products that can manage between 2 and 80 tons. Apart from manufacturing excavators, the firm is into mining machinery, renewable energy and heavy equipment.

Deepak Garg, the Managing Director of Sany India and South Asia, commenting on the achievement, told the media that it is a proud moment for all of them. After all the difficulties and struggles, the milestone that Sany has accomplished on a global platform is surely praiseworthy.
