TKIL Industries (formerly known as thyssenkrupp Industries India), a leading player in industrial engineering and manufacturing is proud to announce that its heavy engineering manufacturing facility in Hyderabad has successfully achieved a prestigious Five-Star grading in the Occupational Health and Safety Audit conducted by the British Safety Council. This achievement follows the same recognition for its Pimpri Manufacturing Plant, reaffirming TKIL Industries unwavering commitment to workplace safety, risk management, and continuous operational excellence, setting benchmark in the industry.

The Hyderabad manufacturing plant, operational since 1988, specialises in fabricating equipment for core industries, including sugar plants and machinery, mining and bulk material handling systems, cement plants and machinery, boilers, and power plants. With a workforce of approximately 720 employees, including contract workers, the facility also executes turnkey EPC projects.

The company’s Manufacturing Plant in Hyderabad underwent a comprehensive, quantified and robust evaluation of its occupational health and safety policies, processes and practices. The audit involved an extensive review of documentation, interviews with senior management and employees, and on-site evaluations. Performance was assessed against key best-practice indicators, including leadership and commitment, stakeholder engagement, risk management, organisational safety culture, and continual improvement. The evaluation encompassed nearly 50 components of health and safety management.

After a rigorous evaluation, TKIL Industries was awarded a five-star grading following the audit which is reflective of a best practice organisation. Mike Robinson, CEO British Safety Council, said: “The award of a five-star grading following our occupational best practice Health and Safety Audit is an outstanding achievement and is reflective of a proactive organisation which is committed to continual improvement in its health and safety arrangements and managing risks to workers’ health, safety and wellbeing.”

This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our employees, particularly the Hyderabad plant team. Congratulations to everyone at the Hyderabad facility for this well-deserved honour.
