ZOOMLION Launches World’s Most Powerful Hybrid Wheeled Tractor DX7004

Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co (1157.HK) has unveiled the DX7004, the world’s most powerful hybrid wheeled tractor, at its Smart Industry City in Changsha. Announced by Chairman and CEO Zhan Chunxin, the nearly four-meter-high machine integrates advanced hybrid drive technology and sets a new global benchmark for high-horsepower agricultural equipment.

The DX7004 delivers a peak output of 1,200 horsepower and is designed for high-intensity, large-scale farming operations. It incorporates Zoomlion’s proprietary innovations, including a digital chassis, smart control systems, and in-house developed core components, marking a significant advancement in intelligent and sustainable agricultural machinery.

“In recent years, Zoomlion has leveraged its expertise in construction equipment to accelerate innovation in the agricultural sector,” said Fu Ling, Vice President and Chief Engineer at Zoomlion. “We are dedicated to modernising agricultural machinery by establishing new standards in performance, powertrain efficiency, and intelligence.”

The tractor features a dual-motor hybrid powertrain with a rated output of 700 horsepower and peak torque of 4,500 Nm. Capable of covering up to 7,200 mu (approximately 480 hectares) in 12 hours of continuous operation, it utilises a distributed electric drive system for stepless field-speed control. An electric motor-driven hydraulic output ensures precision for large-scale, multifunctional implements. The DX7004 also integrates Zoomlion’s EPiot smart driving system and AOS intelligent operations platform, enabling autonomous driving with centimetre-level accuracy even at high speeds.

“The DX7004 establishes new standards in power, efficiency, and intelligent control,” said Liu Yuxin, General Manager of Zoomlion’s Agricultural Machinery Company. “Technologies such as electric continuously variable transmission, adaptive electric coordination, and full-speed-domain autonomous driving are steering agricultural machinery toward greater intelligence and sustainability.”

Since entering the agricultural sector in 2014, Zoomlion has expanded its portfolio across plowing, planting, crop management, harvesting, and storage for both paddy and dryland farming. In 2021, it became the first Chinese company selected for the UN’s long-term procurement programme for agricultural machinery.

Zoomlion will showcase its next-generation solutions for global-scale farming and sustainable development at AGRITECHNICA 2025, the world’s largest agricultural machinery trade fair, taking place from 9 to 15 November in Hannover, Germany.
