Ahmedabad civic body to finalise land deal with LuLu

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) had recently sold a large plot of land to LuLu International Shopping Malls Pvt Ltd for a staggering Rs 5.19 billion.

However, the civic body was unable to provide full possession of the land to the buyer as it did not have ownership of the plot.

The proposal for the deal states that a 66,168 sq m plot in Chandkheda was sold to LuLu International Shopping Malls Pvt Ltd at the rate of Rs 78,500 per sq m.

However, approximately 10,672 sq m of this plot was under cultivation, and the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation was yet to obtain full possession of the plot.
