Square Yards launches a new interior design site

Interior Company, a new portal for home furnishing and interior design services, has been established by India-based real estate marketplace Square Yards. Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai are the first cities where the new subsidiary is active. Square Yards stated in a press release that Interior Company, which provides a hassle-free interior design experience and white glove services, would soon be accessible throughout India and the Middle East.

“We always had significant demand for interior services from our current ecosystem of real estate customers, some of the country's best developers, and a 200,000+ strong broker network,” said Tanuj Shori, founder and CEO of Square Yards. We chose to create this capacity in-house, using the same concept and building blocks as Square Yards.”

The first focus of Interior Company will be on new home buyers in the primary market who are searching for stunning interiors at a reasonable price. At the same time, the company intends to construct standardised and modular solutions for near-possession and ready-to-move-in units in some of the most prestigious developer projects across major cities.

Interior Company launches a month after Square Yards launched its end-to-end online rental agreement service as part of its growing rental services offering. Revenue increased by 17% year over year in FY20-21, making it the company's most successful year since its founding in 2013.

PropVR, a 3D visualisation platform, and PropsAMC, a data and property management platform, were among the purchases made in FY20-21. Square Yards, based in Gurugram, India, has received $50 million in equity and more than $25 million in debt funding to far, and has a presence in Australia, Canada, and the Gulf.
