WBPHED invites bids for supply of ISI-marked centrifugal ends

Department of public works, communication and buildings, West Bengal has published a tender seeking supply and delivery of ISI Marked Centrifugally ends conforming to IS83292000 in standard Suuply will be for South Bengal, WBPHED.

Brief scope of work
Supply and delivery of ISI Marked Centrifugally Cast (Spun) Ductile iron Pressure Pipes for Water with Socket & Spigot ends conforming to IS:8329/2000 (latest amendment) in standard length of 5.5 M suitable for push on joint (rubber gasket jointing) with Cement Mortar Lining inside the pipes and outside zinc coating with finished layer of Bituminous coating/ Synthetic resin (Blue/Red Epoxy) compatible with zinc coating (Class K-9 & Class K-7) along with supply of EPDM Quality of Rubber Gasket as per IS:5382/1985 for each of the joints admissible for the ordered quantity plus 5% extra and supply of Polyethylene Sleeves along with DI Pipes to be supplied , the Polyethylene Sleeves are to be tested by CIPET and this certificate should contain the quantity. All DI Pipes along with necessary accessories to be supplied to the Sub divisional Strores against respective Circles/Central Stores of P.H.E. Dte. At Kalyani, Nadia District, West Bengal / Rajarhat, North 24 Paraganas, West Bengal. Supplier will be requested to deliver the materials in aforesaid delivery places as per direction of EIC.

All pipes shall have to be cast or stamped or legibly painted on it with the approved mark as per relevant IS specification (IS: 8329/ 2000) as follows:

a) The manufacturer’s name or Trade Mark.
b) The nominal diameter of Pipe.
c) Class of Pipe
d) I.S.I Certification Mark.
The tender seeks DI PIPE supply works worth Rs. 4,60,89,12,375 cr to be completed in 90 days. As per the tender, the bid validity will be 120 days, and it will be an open bidding process. The bid submission period began on July 15, 2023 and will end on August 9, 2023.

If any bidder withdraws his tender within the validity of tender period without giving any satisfactory explanation for such withdrawal, he shall be disqualified for participation in any tender to this Department for minimum period of one year.

A bidder has to deposit an EMD of Rs. 50,000,00.00 (Rupees Fifty lakh). Security Deposit: For successful tenderer the earnest money deposited to be converted to security deposit. Balance 8% (Eight percent) of the accepted value of the supply will be deducted from each progressive bill of work as to constitute total 10% (Ten percent) as security deposit including 2% EMD.
