JDA plans to regularise civic lands

Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) officials are working on a plan to regularise vacant lands owned by civic bodies along JLN Marg. These lands have been vacant for years and have faced issues with illegal encroachments.

The JDA officials have been assessing the area, status, and current market value of these vacant lands. Some of them have already been encroached upon. The enforcement department will take necessary actions to remove these encroachments.

In 2002, the Urban Development and Housing (UDH) Department issued a regulation policy for colonies on both sides of Jawaharlal Nehru Marg. According to this policy, lands within 200-foot strips on both sides of JLN Marg, between Mahaveer Garden and Jawahar Circle, are owned by the JDA. The civic body intends to utilise these lands for various commercial activities.
