NBCC to develop 2,000 flat units in Maldives at Rs 968 crore

Construction company National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited (NBCC) told the media that it had secured Rs 968 crore contract, the company's biggest overseas contract to construct 2,000 social housing in the Maldives.

NBCC informed that it had bagged construction of 2,000 social housing on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis in Hulhumale, Maldives.

The overall cost of the housing project is Rs 968.50 crore, it said.

The loan agreement was signed on 23 September between Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation Ltd (FDC) and Exim Bank of India.

NBCC has been entrusted with completing the construction project of 2,000 social housing in Hulhumale under Buyer's Credit.

The company told the media that this prestigious overseas project is the biggest foreign project obtained by NBCC. The project spreads across 7.2 acres of land in seven plots.
