Holiday homes, often known as second homes, are used as vacation residences. However, in the post-pandemic period, holiday homes have taken on new relevance as more people choose to relocate in search of a more pleasant and serene environment to live and work. Several property developers in India are currently entering the holiday home market, owing to the increased demand for second homes in coastal or mountainous areas by wealthy individuals.

The virus and the staged lockdowns that have prevented people from travelling to exotic vacation places are driving these changes in consumer behaviour. Another important aspect fueling the shift is the work-from-home concept.

Jyoti Structures expands manufacturing capacity in Nashik

The announcement Jyoti Structures (JSL) reported steady operational performance in 2025, supported by stable project execution across its power transmission portfolio. The company commissioned galvanisation operations at its second Nashik manufacturing unit, adding 33,000 MT of annual capacity. Mumbai Coastal Road Musical Path Plays Jai Ho

Mumbai inaugurated India’s first musical path on the Coastal Road that plays the song Jai Ho for motorists.
