Sanjay Bhoosreddy named up RERA chairman

Retired IAS officer Sanjay Bhoosreddy has been appointed as the chairman of the UP Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA). Alongside him, another retired IAS officer, Dimple Verma, was named the member of UP RERA. Dimple Verma is notably the wife of special DGP Prashant Kumar. The appointments were made following a selection process overseen by a three-member committee, which was led by the Chief Justice. This committee was specifically constituted to select the chairman and members of RERA. Additional chief secretary Nitin Ramesh Gokarn was also included as a member in this process. It's worth noting that Bhoosreddy had retired earlier this year, on June 30. The previous chairman of UP RERA, Rajive Kumar, had been appointed back in August 2018.
