Sugee Group enters Thane with Grade A+ commercial project

Sugee Group has announced its entry into Thane with plans to develop a Grade A+ commercial project in Thane West. The development marks the Mumbai-based real estate company’s commercial debut and forms part of its expansion beyond established business districts.

Envisioned as a premium business destination, the project will offer modern workspaces for micro, small and medium enterprises, multinational companies and growing businesses. It aims to address the demand for professionally planned commercial infrastructure at a more accessible entry point than Mumbai’s established office markets.

The development is expected to benefit from Thane’s expanding transport infrastructure, including upcoming metro corridors, Maharashtra’s first ring metro, the Thane-Borivali twin tunnels, the Thane coastal road, proposed waterways and the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor.

Planned around Siddheshwar Lake, the project will form part of an expansive development covering more than 50 acres. The waterfront district will combine commercial infrastructure, landscaped spaces and improved connectivity within an integrated urban environment.

The architectural vision has been developed under the guidance of Padma Bhushan recipient Hafeez Contractor. Drawing inspiration from international business districts such as Canary Wharf in London and Hudson Yards in New York, the project will focus on integrated planning, premium infrastructure and long-term urban value.

Nishant Deshmukh, Founder and Managing Partner, Sugee Group, said Thane’s commercial market was entering a new phase following years of residential growth. He added that the company aims to introduce premium commercial spaces while supporting the city’s emergence as an economic growth centre.

Hafeez Contractor said Siddheshwar Lake would serve as the project’s natural anchor, with the waterfront shaping the identity and experience of the development. The design will integrate landscape, connectivity and built spaces to create an open and enduring commercial destination.

Sugee Group has a portfolio of more than 60 completed and ongoing projects covering over 50 million sq ft across India, the UAE and Portugal. The company employs more than 400 people and has received over 28 industry awards.

The Thane project is planned as the first phase of a larger, globally benchmarked mixed-use ecosystem intended to support the city’s long-term commercial and urban growth.
