Wipro Lighting inks pact with Enlighted for IoT-based solutions

LED Manufacturing major, Wipro Lighting announced their collaboration with Enlighted, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Siemens Group to offer a cloud-based Internet of Things (IoT) solution for commercial buildings to make workplaces smarter.

As a stepping stone to the project, Wipro revealed in a joint statement that it will integrate Enlighted's IoT sensors in its smart range of luminaires to provide smart space solutions.

Wipro aims to focus on the upcoming hybrid work model by solving space utilisation and optimization challenges faced by its customers and assisting them in the creation of smart workplaces through this partnership.

Anuj Dhir, Vice-President and Business Head of Wipro Lighting stated that their collaboration with Enlighted would enable them to demonstrate to the rest of the world how it can solve many of the workplace management and energy optimization issues they face today in order to build a better future together.

Enlighted is a leading IoT solutions provider for commercial buildings.

The cloud-connected smart sensors of the firm which are installed in lighting fixtures and under desks form a dense infrastructure that collects data about what is going on in the building multiple times per second.

Through Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), this data can be used in software applications to provide utilisation analytics, location services for people and assets, and real-time insights into how buildings are being used.
