In the seven months since commencing business, Blox has already listed over 300 developers on its platform and actively services around 500 projects in Mumbai and Thane. Thackeray, who attended the event, has showed his immense support for the growth and development of Blox and the digitisation of the real estate sector. Thackeray adds, “One of the biggest issues for Maharashtra is housing. Giving access to homes for all has been a challenge along with buyers finding their dream home. To support the real estate industry and the revival of the economy post covid, the Government of Maharashtra has also reduced the stamp duty for registration of residential houses, waived off property tax for homes of less than 500 sq ft size and BMC has reduced premiums on housing projects in the past one year. All efforts are being made to make housing a reality for all in the state, especially in a city like Mumbai.”
