VIAVI and QNu Labs Partner to Advance Quantum-Safe Network Security

Viavi Solutions Inc. (VIAVI) and QNu Labs have entered into a strategic partnership to develop quantum-safe security and advanced network intelligence technologies aimed at protecting critical infrastructure from emerging quantum threats. The partnership marks the first phase toward establishing a global industry consortium to accelerate open collaboration in quantum-secure communications across sectors.

With the growth of quantum-safe technologies, ensuring resilience and reliability at the optical layer has become essential as quantum systems integrate with existing physical infrastructure. The collaboration will focus on defining test cases and badging mechanisms for standalone post-quantum cryptography (PQC), quantum key distribution (QKD), quantum random number generation (QRNG), and hybrid PQC/QKD systems.

The alliance will also develop specifications and reference architectures for deploying quantum-safe communications across core, RAN, transport, edge, and cloud networks, enabling seamless compatibility with classical and hybrid systems. The initiative will align with NIST PQC recommendations, ETSI, and global quantum-security standards to support industries including telecom, banking, defence, aerospace, government, and research institutions.

“Quantum-safe communications is no longer a distant goal but instead an urgent need. Trusted partners that offer innovation and deep expertise are essential for successful and secure quantum networks, and VIAVI is uniquely positioned by combining decades of leadership in fiber optics with advanced quantum research,” said Sameh Yamany, Chief Technology Officer, VIAVI. “We offer a rare perspective on how to securely and efficiently transition quantum-safe communication from the lab to practical deployment, and we look forward to validating quantum-safe environments and solutions by partnering with QNu Labs.”

“The QNu and VIAVI partnership is a milestone in the evolution of secure digital communications, combining VIAVI’s expertise in network intelligence with QNu’s leadership in quantum-safe security to build the foundation of next-generation, trust-centric networks,” said Sunil Gupta, CEO, QNu Labs. "Together, we will provide tools and roadmaps to assist enterprises and service providers in migrating from classical to quantum-safe systems."

"Join industry leaders at RAHSTA Expo, India's premier platform for roads, highways and traffic infrastructure. Register now to explore innovations, network with experts and shape the future of mobility."

Longleng CSOs Give One Week Ultimatum Over Two-Lane Highway

Civil society organisations (CSOs) in Longleng district have demanded immediate restoration of the deteriorating Changtongya–Longleng two-lane road and sought a detailed status report on the stalled construction within one week. The demand followed a consultative meeting convened under the Phom Peoples' Council (PPC) to discuss welfare and development concerns. PPC president YB Angam Phom said prolonged non-maintenance had caused hardship to commuters and affected transportation, local commerce and the district's development. The meeting urged authorities to undertake immediate restoration a..
