Andhra Pradesh Minister assures no worries on Land Titling Act

Y V Subba Reddy, the North Andhra regional in-charge of YSRCP, along with revenue minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, expressed that the decision to register government land being occupied was timely. They asserted that individuals owning land should possess complete rights to it, thereby securing a better position in society. They claimed that the preceding administrations had failed to grant any rights to those occupying government land and constructing houses. However, Jagan Mohan Reddy's government had decided to confer permanent rights on such lands to the occupants.

While addressing a gathering at a patta distribution program held on Friday, the revenue minister stated that the government had allocated house sites to 30 lakh people and assisted in the construction on those lands. He reassured that there should be no concerns regarding the Land Titling Act, emphasizing that it aimed to grant full rights to future generations on land. The central government was reportedly evaluating the implementation of the Titling Act nationwide.

The minister mentioned, "The state government will consider suggestions from the courts and implement adequate rules. We are modernizing the revenue records and surveys in 17,000 villages across the state using advanced technology. The Act will be officially announced once the records are updated and the survey is completed. This process may take several months."

He added that a total of 7,026 conveyance deeds would be distributed through the Gajuwaka Housing Society, and the process for another 6,260 conveyance deeds across the district had also been finalized. Furthermore, the district administration provided pattas to 39 steel plant displaced persons and 40 pharma city displaced persons.

The distribution of pattas to beneficiaries was conducted by Subba Reddy, Dharmana Prasada Rao, district collector A Mallikharjuna, and Gajuwaka MLA Tippala Nagireddy.
