ColdStar expands cold chain network in Tier II cities

ColdStar Logistics has recently expanded its temperature-controlled supply chain network with new facilities in Patna, Guwahati and Lucknow. The expansion is part of the company’s national growth strategy to improve supply chain access across emerging Tier II markets.

With the addition of the three facilities, ColdStar’s network will cover 45 distribution centres across India and serve more than 109,000 pin codes. The company currently operates over one million sq ft of warehousing infrastructure and plans to expand further during the current financial year.

The company has launched a 20,000 sq ft facility in Kamrup, Guwahati, to serve Assam, Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur and other Northeastern states. In Uttar Pradesh, it has opened a 10,500 sq ft warehouse in Unnao along the Lucknow-Kanpur Highway cluster. In Bihar, a 5,000 sq ft facility has been launched in Anisabad, Patna, with access to the Grand Trunk Road corridor and Gaighat river route.

Each facility offers multi-temperature storage infrastructure, including ambient, tropical, chiller and frozen zones. These capabilities are designed to support sectors such as FMCG, dairy, confectionery, processed foods, healthcare, retail and quick commerce.

ColdStar said the facilities will follow its existing operating model and technology-led planning systems. The expansion is aimed at improving product availability, reducing replenishment timelines and helping businesses maintain product quality across emerging consumption markets.
