DPIIT and Mercedes-Benz Partner for Innovation and Sustainability

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Mercedes-Benz India have signed an MoU to boost India’s manufacturing ecosystem, road safety, and environmental sustainability. This collaboration aims to support startups, innovators, and entrepreneurs by providing infrastructure, mentorship, funding opportunities, and market linkages while promoting international knowledge exchange. 

DPIIT Joint Secretary Sanjiv highlighted the partnership’s role in strengthening industry-academia ties and driving impactful technological advancements. Mercedes-Benz India MD Santosh Iyer emphasised the company’s commitment to road safety and sustainability, noting that CSR funding would support incubators and institutes for societal impact. 

The MoU was signed by DPIIT’s Dr. Sumeet Kumar Jarangal and Mercedes-Benz India’s Santosh Iyer in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.
