Fadnavis Seeks Rs 52 Billion Boost for Key State Projects

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis held a series of high-level meetings with senior Union ministers in New Delhi to secure approvals and financial support for major development projects across the state, officials said.
Fadnavis met with Home Minister Amit Shah and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, pressing for funding of up to Rs 292 billion (USD 3.5 billion) for infrastructure initiatives, including village cement roads and coastal protection works.
The discussions also involved seeking collaboration with the Asian Development Bank on a Rs 217 billion (USD 2.6 billion) road project aimed at enhancing intra-state connectivity.
Another key proposal on the agenda was a world-class fertiliser plant to be developed in Nagpur, expected to contribute to both economic growth and environmental sustainability in Maharashtra.
