HCC bags Rs 2 bn Hindalco job for smelter upgrade

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has recently secured a Rs 2 billion contract from Hindalco Industries for fabrication, supply, and erection of pot shell and superstructure as part of the Aditya Aluminium smelter expansion in Odisha.

The package supports Hindalco’s plan to lift aluminium smelting capacity by 200,000 tonnes per annum, with HCC selected for its advanced fabrication expertise and execution capability on complex, large-scale industrial works.

HCC said the win underscores its growing role in specialised private-sector projects and its focus on innovation, technical excellence, and reliable delivery. The company has decades of experience across process plants, factories, workshops and on-site, tailor-made fabrication facilities to meet specific client requirements.
