JEM Launches First Showroom in Bengaluru for e-LCVs

Jupiter Electric Mobility Pvt. Ltd. (JEM), the electric commercial vehicle subsidiary of Jupiter Wagons Ltd., has inaugurated its first showroom in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, unveiling its flagship electric light commercial vehicle (e-LCV), the JEM TEZ. This marks the company’s formal entry into one of India’s most dynamic urban logistics markets and underscores its commitment to enabling clean and sustainable transportation solutions.

The Jayanagar facility functions as an experience centre offering sales consultation, financing support, after-sales service, and on-site test drives. Strategically located, the showroom enhances JEM’s proximity to fleet operators, while a dedicated service hub in Devanahalli provides ongoing operational support.

The JEM TEZ, purpose-built for last-mile delivery and urban freight, features a certified range of over 190 km, 80 kW peak motor power, 23 per cent gradeability, and a payload capacity of 1.05 tonnes. Designed for high uptime and efficiency, it targets sectors like FMCG logistics and intra-city distribution.

Bengaluru’s selection as the launch city reflects its status as a logistics and technology hub with a growing electric vehicle ecosystem. The inauguration was attended by Mr. Shivanand Kalakeri, IRS, Commissioner of Income Tax – DR, alongside JEM leadership including Mr. Gaurav Jalota (CEO) and Mr. Kartik Hajela (Battery Division CEO).

Mr. Vivek Lohia, Managing Director of Jupiter Group, said the Bengaluru showroom marks a major milestone in JEM’s national rollout. “With its performance, payload, and cost-effectiveness, JEM TEZ offers a strong value proposition for logistics companies and fleet operators transitioning to cleaner mobility,” he added.

JEM is also investing in a robust EV ecosystem, with partnerships across charging infrastructure, financing, servicing, and business support. Its “JEM Udaan” programme ensures assured assistance for JEM TEZ drivers and owners.

To support demand, JEM has set up a 2.5-acre manufacturing unit in Pithampur, Indore, with capacity for 8,000–10,000 e-LCVs annually and plans for future expansion.

The Bengaluru launch is part of JEM’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in key EV markets, with expansion already underway in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Chennai.
